A lovely surprise for me this evening to switch over to the One Show to see one of my heroes, George Cole... A few years back, I watched Minder and was instantly smitten with George, the scripts and the show in general.. an absolute feast of witty lines, comic characters and hilarious plots.
I think I've seen every one now but I'd watch them over and over and find something new every time - a bit like Bilko!
Lovely to hear Dennis Waterman speaking so warmly about George and, for George to admit Minder was probably his greatest hour.
When I read months ago that he was taken in by Alastair Sim, I could see straight away how Alastair influenced his style.
Yes, lovely to see him again.... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

I usually make a point of avoiding The One Show but accidentally saw the beginning tonight and carried on watching because as you say George Cole is a wonderful actor and perhaps even could be described as a British treasure
Who'd ever have thought anyone could say that about Arthur Daley _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |
