It was announced on TMS this afternoon, followed by discussion of the Dad's Army cricket match when the platoon played against the wardens (captained by Hodges).
Fred Truman made a cameo appearance as a ringer, playing for the wardens, but the Home Guard, unsurprisingly, still emerged victorious. |

The cricket episode is one of my favourites, alongside the one about bringing in the harvest for Godfrey's lady friend. I'm always touched by seeing the back view of the two them holding hands while the platoon boys do their stuff. |
