What a terrible week of awful songs its been.
I'm usually wary of any young popstars and their musical tastes but this has been by far the worst.
I notice she got Owl City played on Monday. What a co-incidence that she and the guy from the group have a thing going on. |

I'm also wary when they are young stars but was pleasantly surprised when Joe McElderry (sp?) was on a while back.
Not heard any of Ken this week as having some work done in the house and he listens to Radio 7 rather loudly..........
Upside is that we have discovered DAB will work in our house so the the radio I had and returned because R2 signal kept falling off must have been faulty!

She seems like a nice girl, though.

Have they? Last I knew she was Jake Gyllenhaal's beard. Anyway, I'm sure lots of people have chosen songs that make them think of their partner. |

Whoever she's going with, Swift's choice of the Robin the Frog soundalike Owl City makes Eliza Doolittle's rise to 'fame' seem like she's played the toilet circuit. And Headingley. _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!

Have to agree with you Gibbo, I know we all have different tastes but that was the worst tracks of my years in ages.
It was almost like a Gary Bones playlist!!!! |

I'm sure Gary Bones would have appreciated Soft Cell's version of Hey Joe that Jarvis Cocker played last week! _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!

Phil Oakey's choices the other week were easily the worst selection I've ever heard.
How anyone of 50+ years can say their favourite songs of their life were all recently released songs is just ridiculous.
Sounded very much like an old man trying to seem hip to me. |

I thoroughly agree Gaz- I thought exactly the same.
I don't believe Phil Oakey has ever been really considered "hip" so I'm not sure why he's trying to be now _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |

Taylor Swift is... lovely
She does pretty good, mainstream, country pop songs. Some of them are bloody fantastic and she's got more heart and honesty than Avril Lavigne. Her concert on Radio 2 a few weeks back was brilliant. |
