I thought I'd give the Friday reequest show a listen on the way home from the supermarket. I caught the last half of The Byrds, only to have Mr Evans talk over the last bit, complaining that it wasn't long enough. I assume it was so he could talk even more.
One of his listeners had asked for this track, and If I had asked for it, to have Evans talk over the second half, would have been extremely annoying.

I know what you mean BGW - he did that once with a Coral song, in fact he does this with most songs - I can't ever forgive him _________________ I was trying to daydream, but my mind kept wandering. |

I was unlucky enough to hear a bit of his show once were he was asking people to text in if someone was giving them the cold shoulder treatment (not speaking to them). I sent a text saying I would love it if CE gave me the cold shoulder! He never read it out |

Yes general, know what you mean, I emailed in for his good day/bad day suggesting a good day was when he was on holiday and a bad day was when he returned. He never read my email out either, bit of a liberty really, asks you to contact the show, then just ignores you

Well he won't possibly have time to read all your letters and e-mails out but thank you anyway for expressing an interest in the show........

I continue to enjoy the show. Despite the snipping from the usual suspects, who based upon the above disclosures spend their days texting in immature messages, the show has a strong & loyal fanbase. Well done Chris! _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

The problem with emailing and texting shows they get flooded with them, unless you want the music then they wont all have time to read them out. I also understand they do select the interesting ones only. |

Yes ernie its almost as immature as asking his ever depleting audience to text in and then ignoring them, oh and the flavour of crisps jumps to mind!

The problem with Chris, as with a few other presenters, they like the sound of their own voice too much _________________ I'm trying to stop trying, guru. |
