So, what do we think of JB today? To be honest, I'm finding the programme rather frenetic, hope John slows down a bit next Sunday. Was glad we got rid of EP's laugh, but now we've got a similar cackle from JB. I think I preferred Paul O'Grady. _________________ Don't hurry, don't worry and don't forget to smell the flowers. |

Anyone would be better than Elaine Paige in my opinion!
I noticed that the Divine Comedy track he played, from the Doctor Who 'Runaway Bride' episode, bore a marked similarity to Al Wilson's 'The Snake'.
Is Stuart Maconie (Saturday show and 'All Singing All Dancing All Night')required listening in Russell T. Davies and Murray Gold's neck of the woods, and does the Tardis materialize in Wigan circa 1974 next series? _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.

I thought he was good fun, and didn't seem fake at all. He genuinely loved the music, and genuinely enjoyed the audience comments - in fact, the very "live" ness of it was a real strong point.
As for Love Don't Roam - yes, it sounds a bit like The Snake, but after plenty of listens me and my girlfriend have decided it's actually better. (oooh, controversial...) |

It must be the campest show on the radio after two weeks of Paul O'Grady followed by two weeks of John Barrowman. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I see that Barrowman has been given a slap on the wrists for his comens in a Doctor Who mag for kids where he tells them how much he fancies David Tennant. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Personally I preferred Paul O'Grady. John Barrowman was a little sycophantic and unnatural in places, although still leagues ahead of his mentor. |

Doctor Who Magazine isn't for kids - most of the readers are adults. But it is a family mag, and many of the comments seemed unpleasant to a lot of readers whatever the age. |

Back to the radio, I found his delivery slightly OTT, almost trying too hard to be friendly to the listeners. This started to grate after an hour, and i wished I had 2 radios in the room, so that I could listen to the footy. _________________ Geddon
