I thought that from yesterday on Dale Winton's Pick of the Pops was starting at 2:30 and continuing for 2 hours. This is what the Radio Times says. But yesterday it didn't start till 3 and had an hour and a half as usual. Does anyone know what's happening?

They got the running time wrong in the rush to re-jig the schedule. They must have pre-recorded POTP's months ago. The newly recorded ones will be 2 hours. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Starts at the half hour are not new, but like you I think they look untidy and less easily remembered. |

John, are you saying that nod looks untidy and is less easily remembered?

I think Lesley wants the start times to look the same on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon. This is another new thing which has been added along with the traffic reports which started last year.
Although listening to the hand over from JW to AT on listen again it sounds a very untidy link at 6.30pm. |

Not helped by the fact that both are probably recorded on different days. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I also love the 'guess who's recorded on Saturday' game when we have weeks where there's no handover banter between Maconie/O'Leary/Gambo _________________ Who Can Take A Sunrise, Sprinkle It With Dew... |

Dermot's not exactly the brightest bulb in the socket, so I think they try not to show him up too much. They could always come back to him in 10 or 15 minutes time once he has thought up a clever response................
