I suppose Lesley is trying to deliver something different the network. I think it was Matthew Wrights idea too? |

But Mark, what is in the show? Its just 2 guys and a woman yacking on about a film or a show for two hours. Cant they just get on with it? Half an hour should do them fine! _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I have only heard it once when it was first aired and a few weeks ago. I was sure it was a type of magazine show featuring all entertaining things. When I first heard it Matthew came across slightly boring, compared to when he used to cover Steves afternoon shows. |

I don't remember posting that!
I think The Weekender should be moved to 7pm Fridays. Yes, have a Rock Show on later (say 10pm). Overall, I think Matthew Wright is doing the best he can. Just count our lucky stars that Dermot O'Leary isn't hosting the show!

I count this show as a hidden gem.
Not many people seem to comment on this show.
Good playlist, good chat - I even think Matthew Wright is doing a good job.
The show discusses the arts without getting all arty farty. All in all a good programme.

It just seems so inconsequential. To quote Jerry Sienfeld its a show about nothing [much]. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |
