I suppose if it is the chart for Jan then some Xmas songs will still be in the top 20.
It doesn't really matter as last Friday i passed a house with Xmas lights still up all round the windows( AND LIT).
Couldn't believe it BUT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!! |

I'm amazed that people bought the song in sufficient numbers in January to keep it at number 2 in the chart 25 days after Christmas Day.
All be it that the sales of singles would be low post Christmas, but who would say to themselves "I know what I want to cheer myself up in January: Christmas music!!"
I suppose its the same people who buy Christmas decorations in January.
Apparently there is another Crimbo song on POTP next week. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

No i would never e mail SK but i WAS surprised to see a big Xmas light show still on last Friday.
I thankfully never lost any sleep over it.
Xmas songs will always overlap into Jan but if they are still in the Top 10 at the end of Jan then that is a little worrying!!!!!! |

In 1959 Little Drummer Boy (beyond doubt a Christmas item) was in the charts in early spring!
