Will you be listening-out of old habits, out of intrigue or for the very first time.
Indeed will he be live or will the show be pre-recorded as the BBC will not want to be taking any chances re any bad behaviour. |

I'll be listening.. and I always did, even though he got on my nerves sometimes.
I must admit to being curious as to how he'll squirm his way out of this one. He'll more than likely make a drawn out apology.
I liked JR 80% of the time but I have to say he hasn't really been missed has he? and I don't see how he can do the same old stuff!
I still think he should have quit.. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

None of the above, Mark. I'll be listening because he puts on an excellent radio show. |

I'll be listening to the R2 show, it will be a pleasure after Baker, Ball, Tarbuck and Freeman
Pre-recording the Bland show didn't prevent anything but I'm sure they will be very careful. |

I won't listen not because of any protest, I never listen to him anyway, just don't like the bloke.
I certainly won't give up the lovely Rick on the other side for him. |

I may have to shoot myself in protest. If I were running the gaff, I'd pay him off and tell him not to darken our door again.

Unfortunately. it will mean R2 being a no-go area in this house on Saturday 10-1again. Glad to see that Ross is having trouble getting film stars to interview on Film 2009. I didn't understand why they couldn't get somebody decent to present that in his absence instead of taking it off screen. Perhaps now they'll begin to realise that he is damaged goods. _________________ MiS

Yes, he's been terrible on Film 200x since the start and I was hoping they'd get someone good in instead of just taking it off air. It's as if the BBC think people watch for him and not for the film reviews. |

I read Tom Cruise has turned down his offer to appear on his TV Show. I guess the show will be pre-recorded for a few weeks until any backlash of emails have been removed unless his email address has been removed. |

If JR was outside on my front lawn I wouldn't open the curtains to see him!
I'm sure there are plenty of radio presenters out there who could do the programme better than him and for a lot less. |

The sad thing is, many people will tune in on his first day back out of curiosity, and the BBC will boast about the audience figures. Does anyone know when his extremely lucrative contract runs out? _________________ MiS |

It seems ages ago that all the fuss was made about the contract, so I'd guess about another year is still left of the 3 (?).
Can't come fast enough for me though.

PS you're right about what the BBC will say about his listening fiqures. The only consolation will be that Lesley Douglas won't have the pleasure of it! _________________ 88 - 91 FM this is Radio 2 from the BBC!

It seems that Tom Cruise IS appearing on JR's chatshow when it returns together with Stephen Fry and Lee Evans. |

BBC Radio 4 broadcaster Mark Lawson has spoken out that Ross and the BBC eventually have to come up with a deal for him to leave. |

The Sun have run that story but have been very sneaky. The quotes are taken from a Radio Times feature where 3 people (including Gambo) think Ross will do OK when he comes back. The only person offering a different view is Mark Lawson, but RT probably looked for anyone who could offer it - the fact he's from Radio 4 isn't significant. |

Thats your opinion Ian which is fair. It just seems pat him on the back, welcome back and the normal handshakes.. Nice to see you again. blah blah. Behind his back some maybe saying god what is he doing back. There will be mix views, but it's down the boss who wants him to return. |

Well, I expect there are some at Radio 2 who will be annoyed to have him back because he led to the downfall of the Glorious Leader but there will be others (eg a certain balding Scottish bloke) who don't necessarily think that was A Bad Thing. |
