Absolute class!
Department S - Is Vic There? not heard that for YEARS!!
I love it when they do some obscure ones, they do a similar thing on Smooth but they'll play Dancing Queen and other old stuff you hear all the time _________________ and don't forget Radio 2 continues on 433 and 330 metres Medium Wave with Charlie Chester |

I agree MarcB, it was good to hear that again.. quite an unusual hit like several others of that time.
I'd like to hear "Seventeen" by the Regents some time too... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

In essence, we'd love to have a show of similar format to Sounds of the 60s, for the 70s and 80s, that didn't just draw on a box filled with the Best of ELO, Abba, Fleetwood Mac, Eagles etc. _________________ Ron |

I'm not so fussed about the 1980s myself, but I agree there certainly should still be a show for the 1970s. One that lasts more than half an hour! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

I think a one hour 80s show would work out, there was some good stuff around when you look back..
Can I suggest they schedule it for Saturday afternoon after just listening to Dermot bumbling along for THREE HOURS! _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Century FM has a four hour long show on a Friday night (8 until midnight) devoted to everything 80s - from the sublime to the ridiculous. Required listening if I'm in the house when it's on. I've even had requests played. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”
