Anyone listening to this? I'm not impressed - the banter is insipid, inane and incredibly boring. Tate is okay, the weak link is Mack who seems to think he's funny when, let's be honest, he isn't.

He is very funny, although he isn't a radio presenter able to carry a live three hour show. When will the BBC realise that they need professionals to do the job! |

As long as Lesley Douglas is in charge, probably never. |

Scrapping the barrel bank holiday afternoons. It's waste of Licence payers money. Anyway they were just the voices, as someone else was playing the songs and jingles for them. |

I thought it was terrible, like two amateurs having a go. What a difference to Mark and Emma... Great to hear a real presenter in the form of Simon Mayo though! _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

I wasn't impressed - I was expecting Mark Radcliffe and Sally Lindsay to be on at 2 pm.
I was furious that they cut off the Bangles's 'Hazy Shade Of Winter' for the news! It was generally like a 'fair facsimile' (copyright Roger Waters) of Radio Leeds's Andrew & Georgy show, but nowhere near as sparky. _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.

I used the Listen again feature earlier today to listen into this show aired earlier this week.
Have to say I stayed the course for about 1 hour-I thought it was quite poor radio entertainment.
I sincerely hope this duo do not return.
What is it about Douglas's obsession with Celebs who she thinks will make good DJ's/Presenters.
I would much have preferred to hear Johnnie Walker, Tony Blackburn or another proper professional presenter in their place.
NB-Normally I would have said more Richard Allinson please but I don't want to be accused of being greedy as Richard was on earlier on Bank Holiday Monday delivering a great show covering for Richard Hammond. |

Agreed. Makes me wonder if these bad ideas all come from Douglas, or from HER bosses? |

I had the misfortune of listening to this all the way through, as we have Radio 2 on permanently where I work. This was about as poor as when Davina McCall covered for Ken Bruce not so long ago. What made it even worse was the choice of music - Milli Vanilli and Kajagoogoo - God help us! Lee Mack even acknowledged that the record by Kajagoogoo (or should that be Kajapoopoo) was dreadful, so why play it!
Mark Radcliffe and Sally Lindsay were a breath of fresh air last week, and I would love to hear these two together on radio more often.

"breath of fresh air" - very well put NMB, they were just that! and I totally agree, they provided great entertainment and I'd love to hear more of them during the daytime but of course, not to replace Steve Wright! _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

I stopped watching Doctor Who because of Catherine Tate and her hyperactive acting. As for Lee Mack, he's about as funny as Bob Carolgees. |
