It seems that from next weekend in a late and slightly baffling change to the schedule Pete Mitchell and Mo Dutta wil only be on once a week-Mo is on 4-8am saturdays,Pete Mitchell 3-7am on sundays. The one hour gap following Mark Lamarr is filled by a repeat of the Mike Harding show and a repeat of Paul Jones following Bob Harris. Why thi sis happening I have no idea, but bad news for Mo and Pete fans I'm afraid. The upshot of it is theyre both reduced from 5 to 4 hours a week .Send your complaints to Lesley Douglas!

It does make radio 2 sound more like a commercial station with these long shows.
I bet Mo is upset that his monolgues will not reach as wide an audience from now on. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

It's good news because Mo Dutta is on the wrong station-he needs to go to a talk only station and Pete Mitchell-what can you say. This guy is so underwhelming-he has zero passion for broadcasting. |

Cutbacks!
If there's going to be repeat slots, I'd rather it was for old documentaries. |

If these are due to cutbacks then these particular ones represent "peanuts".
Why not look more closely at the contracts of Messrs Ross, Evans, Wogan etc. |

I beg your pardon. Pete is one of the top broadcasters and has been around as long as Richard A. He was one of the top breakfast shows on Virgin Radio and Razor Cuts and documentaries on Radio 2. Sorry, but Looks like you have no clue about Pete Mitchell back ground.. |

I wait and see the confirmation on the website, as the Radio Times online doesn't tell us anything different. |
