Did I hear Mo Dutta say today that his Saturday start time was moving to 4am from next week?
The Radio Times website entry for next Saturday shows him having a 6am start as usual.
I hope no one is thinking of moving SOTS forward from 8am. I get little enough sleep now!
Can anyone enlighten me?
Ian. |

Why repeat when there are plenty of broadcasters who could fill the gap. BBC CUTBACKS? |

More to the point, why repeat when they're forever plugging "Listen Again" on the BBC website? |

Exactly, there is no need to repeat these shows in the day of listen again, and more so if it is a case of cutbacks (bearing in mind specialist shows will be reduced by 30 mins each weeknight) then they should put something different in this slot. Old docs or concerts, or extend on the Bank holiday chillouts and put an hour either night.
And all this because of a studio closure in Birmingham? This, when the Beeb are supposed to be decentralising from the capital?! I can only hope that Dame Lesley is following orders from above. None of these changes add anything to Radio 2. |
