Just listening in to Johnnie Walker sitting in for Bob Harris, does anybody know if this is planned or not. I certainly hope that it is not because of any set back for Bob, please come back soon, safe and sound, Bob.

Hopefully it wasn't for any bad reasons. Maybe there's just no recorded shows with Bob left.
Wishing Bob all the best for as speedy a recovery as possible. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

According to a message from Bob himself here on his web site (dated Tuesday 9th October):
http://www.bobharris.org/discus4/index.html
" Well...I was warned that I would feel at my most tired ten days to two weeks after the end of my radiation therapy and that is proving to be the case. I was hoping to be back at work by now but I realise that I'm not quite ready. All the Country programmes we stockpiled have now been broadcast, so there'll be a dep sitting in for me on Thursday evenings for at least the next couple of weeks. I'm really sorry not to be back. I'm at the clinic again tomorrow for a new series of tests, with results on Thursday afternoon...at which point I'll be able to plan more accurately when I'll be able to get back on air.
Thank you again to everyone who has been in touch with messages of support. They mean so much.
Meanwhile, we've been planning loads of stuff for the next few months...a new 'Bob Harris Presents...' ('BHP' as Trudie calls it) CD collection of UK acoustic music due out end of January 2008, with gigs across the country, a massive Classic Rock concert next March (official news soon) and the release of the DVD of the 'Dear Mr Fantasy' Jim Capaldi tribute night at the Roundhouse last January.
Thank you again for all the support.
All love, Bob." |

Thanks for that Arcader, I often go on to the Bob Harris website, but never on to the message board. Hopefully he will be back soon, I really miss his Saturday show. However, I would sooner he have a bit longer off and then come back at full strength, than come back too early. I wish him all the best in his fight against this eveil disease, I hate it.
