I listened to Bill Bailey's 'Tribute Band' show last night. it was good listening and i learned a lot about the early tribute bands. Apparently Bjorn Again is now a global franchise with line-ups in Australia, 2 in America and several in Europe.
That got me thinking (ouch!). There was a musician who started in a tribute band to Chopin and Sibelius and ended up in a tribute band to Mussorgsky and Ravel. His name - Keith Emerson of The Nice and ELP fame. _________________ Geddon

Didn't Elvis once come 3rd in an Elvis impersonators competition?
That tells you all you need to know about the audience for tribute bands. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Never seen any although I would like to see the Bootleg Beatles one day..
I did venture into London in the early 80s and saw the show Elvis with Shakin Stevens playing his early years... wasn't too bad actually. I did get a slight feel of watching the original. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

I heard the first episode after coming back from a really poor night at a theatre. _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.
