As a former junior doctors' personnel officer, I've been waiting for this to happen and now it has----it's being reported that, owing to the foul-up over allocating junior doctors to new posts from 1 August, hundreds of doctors will start work without the necessary criminal records checks having been completed.
It isn't the fault of the employing Trusts, which have received utterly inadequate information and would have to cancel medical work if this action weren't taken--though I bet that Directors of Human Resources will be made a scapegoat if anything goes wrong.
But this was entirely foreseeable and I am still waiting to see anyone in or answerable to government taking any responsibility.

More managers in the NHS, on large salaries, that's what we need to sort it out |

Yes, that's definitely one thing the NHS is short of at the moment.... _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”
