Im told that some changes to the schedules may be announce din the next week or 2 to take effect in september-whetehr this is because Dermot is doing X Factor and may have to move from his saturday slot Ive no idea.It will probably just be changes to the weekend but some changes t the weekday line up cannot be ruled out. |

if Dermot was to move to sunday afternoons who do you think should get his saturday slot-just as a matter of speculation. It could be Russel Brand I suppose.Elaine Paige could be moved to Russle saturday night slot-or axed altogether!

Richard Allinson-he could bring his fantastic show Allinson's Albums to Radio 2-without doubt the best show on planet earth radio. |

Pete Mitchell is moving to Saturday afternoons. There will be a replacement for over nights. You can see the pattern emerging as he's been covering and lined up for the show. |

Really-Lesley Douglas told you this ahead of the great British public-source please.
Just because PM has covered for a few Saturday shows whilst Dermot has been away otherwise engaged, does not guarantee him the Saturday teatime slot in the future-or does it? |

The other week you said Dermot wasn't coming back - then he was on the very next Saturday! I don't expect Dermot to be doing his Saturday show between September and January, but I really don't think Pete Mitchell is a shoo-in for the slot. |

PM is, IMHO, a retrograde step for Saturday afternoons - unless of course Dame Lesley has completely written off the listenership figures for that time of, um, day. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

do you think theres much future for Pete Mitchell on radio 2? He hasnt even been used much for holiday cover and he had an hour cut off his saturday night show.He might be regretting leaving Virgin... |

If his attempt at covering for Dermot a few Saturdays ago is the best he can do I'd say most definitely NO........but then I'm only a listener and as far as Lesley Douglas is concerned I don't count in that equation(sp?).

If Pete Mitchell replaces Stuart Maconie on Saturday afternoons I'm going to listen to Richard Skinner on The Arrow instead! _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.

Drivetime would be a good slot for him and would win back many listeners that turn the current drivel off. |

No Ernie-there were none planned in the first place I would guess.
I think Iain Smith knew nothing in the first place/perhaps it's a wind up. |
