Lay off Dermot.
I think he is a good presenter-I enjoy his shows. |

Bizzare posting Ernie.
Richard and Dermot could not be more different in my opinion. I like Dermot because he is very different to Richard and most of the other presenters on Radio 2. |

I'm concerned about the listeners and their imaginary conversations |

Not keen on Dermot myself though I'm sure he's a nice enough person, just not my cup of tea. |

Mark, no offence meant here, mate, but you must have changed your tune about Kermit recently. ISTR you weren't too keen about him sitting in for KB at one stage, and quickly trawled the postings for the quote:

As I'm not a big fan of Dermot O'Leary covering for Ken Bruce) I'll give Smooth a listen until Richard returns. |
Maybe I've misinterpreted what you were saying there, but no problem if you've changed your opinion of Kermit.... Having listened to both his Saturday and weekday shows recently, I can't say I'll ever undergo a similar conversion though. He still talks on the radio like he's hiding behind a wall. I'm sure he's had voice coaching to make his voice sound not too much like a kid. |

He should stop playing under the desk in that case! _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Hi Cherskiy-Well spotted.
Yes I have had a change of attitude/mind on Dermot.
I used to think he was just okay but having listened to him covering for Ken Bruce recently I now have done a complete uturn on him-I thought he was excellent on the mid morning slot and played a good selection of music. His handling of the Pop Master quiz was also very good-he simply came across to me as a very nice guy-yes I like him. |

Didn't like him when he sat in for KB, but listened today and rather enjoyed it. Maybe trying to cover is to much of a strain. When Wossy covered for STW years ago he went to bits. |
