I do detect that he is taking the pee out of Steve Wright with comments like "he's the greatest living broadcaster" and "I just wish his show was a bit longer"
Oh and he says Terry wont be back until Wednesday. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I thought he was taking the pee, except I did wonder if the comment about the show being longer was more of a reference to his own tardiness than Steve (Wright's been making a few digs about Chris cutting it fine lately).
However, his signoff "I've got to fix my sundial because it's running a bit late" was pure cheese, and could have come from Tony Blackburn or Alan Partridge! |

I see. It starts to make a bit more sense now, as Chris mentions hearing some of Steve's show on his blog today. He was in fine form tonight analyising all his fellow presenters.
- Steve Wright "he's a psycho"
- Sarah Kennedy "away with the birds in a world of her own"
They must have been at a team building exercise today _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Ernie-Does this mean that Richard Allinson is in covering for Terry Wogan on Tuesday 24th April as you say Terry is away until Wednesday. |

Mark, I think it likely that Richard will be covering for Terry tomorrow. When he handed over to Ken this morning he said 'might see you tomorrow' |

In my humble opinion Chris Evans is the worst presenter on Radio 2 and I just cannot bring myself to listen to his twaddle. What a drop in standards it has been to feature him on drivetime this last year or so. |

Anyone who criticises Mr over-inflated Ego Steve Wright gets my full support.

He took the Steve Wright stuff to an extra level tonight. Though he stressed he didn't want nasty messages (he'd obviously had a few) I couldn't tell if he's being silly or if something's going on. |

Ian,
It sounds as if there's been some friction between them-reading between the lines.
I don't like CE, but I'm glad someone is having a open dig at SW. A lot of the other presenters make veiled prods.
SW doesn't seem to be a popular man behind the scenes. He does strike me as the sort of person to be rude and arrogant off-air, and he appears to have made plenty of enemies at R2 _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |

His only on-air friend appears to be Jeremy Vine - who by a funny coincidence, ain't in this week...
It's strange, because you'd think Steve would have plenty of time to make friends with the others as he's the only one working there 9-5 every day! |

Dunno, there was something wierd about it, it made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I'm not an SW fan by any means but I'm not sure that 'airing one's dirty washing in public' is the best idea in the world. |

Well Santa, I can listen to SW, which is more than I can say for CE, but lets face it CE will never ever get the audience that SW does. I am not keen on him, but loadsa people listen and one can only assume, enjoy the show! Strange but true

I was.... that soldier...
I like old Stevie boy, always have, but I caught a smidge of Mr.Evans this evening whilst doing the washing up ( wet hands - couldn't turn off ) and noticed just how much he overtalks people and how manic he is!
No, not for me in a million years, nor Richard Allinson.
I've been listening to Big L more lately. |

That's Steve Wright and Tim Smith in the studio. It was Children In Need day so there was a constant update of pictures, even though there was no webcam. The poor guy even had to broadcast live!
Here's another pic from the same day:
