7:10pm: Dermot O'Leary will be the new host of The X Factor, replacing Kate Thornton who was unceremoniously axed last month.

That must mean he has to give up his job on Saturday afternoons. Knowing Lesley, I expect she'll hire Kate Thornton to replace him! |

Most likely he will have to give up Saturday afternoons. I would expect Russell Brand to replace him. I would also expect Dermot to still do weekday cover as I supect this is the end of his Big Brother work and he will have free time at certain parts of the year to do weekday cover. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I wouldn't hold any store by any of this. Two words - 'Pre-rec' and 'Parky'. _________________ Who Can Take A Sunrise, Sprinkle It With Dew... |

A logical, if uninspiring choice. _________________ Who Can Take A Sunrise, Sprinkle It With Dew... |

I think Dermots going to pre-record his saturday show on radio 2 when he starts the X Factor.I bet his pay packets about to get a big boost!
PS are you all going to be listening to Dermot sitting in for Ken Bruce for the next 2 weeks? |
