How of-the-moment I thought, to coincide with the new series of Dr. Who, to use a Dalek to voice Alan's new jingle.

They are the groove addicts ones which other presenters use. Slightly sung in a different way. I like them. |

Titchmarch is a hardy annual. He would just sprout up again somewhere else. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Chorley FM have Dalek-voiced jingles too. I can't tell if it's deliberate homage to Doctor Who or somebody's idea of coolness. |

Is it an homage to Jonnie Walker's classic 'He's in....JOHNNIE WAL-KERRRR', perchance? _________________ "....you're wearing a plywood bow tie with Dundee United on it?" |

The Chorley FM ones don't say 'Coming in your ears' or 'Where the listener comes first' at all, do they?
Sorry, I know it definitely exists, but I think of the idents on Phoenix Nights when it's mentioned! _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.

Sadly no. They're trying to distance themselves from Peter Kay (even though he came up with the name first - the cheeky sods!) |

They appear to have changed how they do the 6.30 junction between Walker and Titchmarch to make it sound less like a lorry changing gears from 5th to 1st at 70 mph.
Walker now says goodbye after the last record, then there is the Titchmarch jingle and then Alan says hello before his first piece. Not bad considering that both shows are recorded seperately. It just proves that when they do think about the flow of the schedule they can do it quite well. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

And Alan is playing Sailing By now.Two thumbs up from me.
But now he is running a promo for the new Monday night lineup. Totally ruins the atmosphere coming out of Sailing By. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |
