Yes after a full week Jeremy Vine and his road survey has finished.
It was interesting for a day maybe but to drag it out for a week was a bit much.
So 4x4's are the top of the list.

I rather enjoyed the chat with John Prescott, even though I didn't much like the whole poll thing. That Mr. Prescott sounds like a jolly nice chap, and we think he argued his corner rather well.

Hi Ella..Prescott came out with the usual
everything takes time routine but fact is the roads are getting worse.
At one time Sundays were pleasant to drive NOW because of Sunday shopping it is worse than a Saturday.
I wonder what new survey we will have next week.?

Perhaps one would be perceived as being cynical if one were to suggest that the "poll" - which involved people texting and phoning in at a cost that would generate revenue for the BBC - existed primarily as a revenue-raiser to offset the production costs of the JV show itself?
Might this little outing this week have been considered as a wee little pilot whose success (or otherwise) will be used to determine the future viability of such polls?
I only only speculate, of course. An interesting thought nonetheless? And what, pray, might we see "polled" in the near future on the programme?
Discuss.....

The calls only cost 15p.

The cost of the calls would surely only cover the costs of setting it up - I don't think the BBC would have made any money from this. |
