Mrs W (working from home) emailed me at work to say that John Marsh retires today. This apparently was mentioned on Wogan after I'd gone to work. I can't find any mention anywhere on the boards. Has anyone else heard this? Does this mean that the Janet and John stories will be history?

He is off today. But he will be back freelancing from time to time like Colin Berry does. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Yeah, he has gone sadly, I will miss John and his cheeky, infectious laugh. I wish him well and hope he has a happy retirement. |

Good to hear Charles Nove back on Radio 2 this morning reading the news. I presume he is going to be a regular from now on. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Charles used to do the commentary on 'Come Dancing' _________________ Geddon

He's been on R2 on and off since the early 80s, I think - I remember he used to do Night Ride every so often, as the announcers did in those days.....he was very good!
I met him once at A1 Vox and had a nice chat - seems like a jolly decent chap. _________________ "....you're wearing a plywood bow tie with Dundee United on it?" |
