I think Managers of these hospitals who have been found to be dirty and un healthy for patients to be treated in should be sued for their actions? Tougher penalities need to happen. Also the inspectors should be accountable for their actions if they have found not to have picked up cleaniness on a second inspection.

They shouldn't be sued, Mark they should be sacked. This isn't the USA Also, love your new word "cleaniness"; sounds so much better than "cleanliness" _________________ MiS |

I agree, dirty managers shouldn't be tolerated..
But you're right.. there's no excuse for a dirty hospital or part thereof.
Going around finding fault or poor workmanship is the easiest job in the world so why is this happening today?
Maybe it's partly to do with all the pc garbage about nowadays - particularly if the cleaning team contains foreigners.. I could see a "manager" being wary of pushing their luck by complaining too much about standards. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

When I was unfortunate enough to be in our local hospital for about a week it stuck me just how clean it was! I was in a room on my own and somebody came in twice a day to clean.
Not only that the nursing staff where excellent and the food was better than edible it was actually tasty.
Just thought it is only fair to say there are some very good hospitals out there. |

Yes very true, we are paying our taxes to get treated well, but also we should be treated in a clean and healthy environment.
Twelve more hospitals have been named for underperforming.
