|

As mentioned a couple of times in the media that Liza Tarbuck could be offered a show on Radio 2. If anyone can remember looking back in the archieves. Radio 2 used to host a lazy lunch show with Debbie Thrower and Gloria Hunniford amoungst others. Getting a few more voices heard during the day. We could end up having this type of schedule.
7.00 to 9.00 Chris Evans
9.00 to 1100 Ken Bruce
1100 to 1.00 Jeremy Vine
1.00 to 3.00 Liza Tarbuck
3.00 to 5.00 Steve Wright
5.00 to 7.00 Simon mayo |

I'm not happy with the lunch show. I'd rather Suzi Quatro did it than Jeremy vine |

Hmmm. As attractive as the prospect of having only two hours of Steve Wright might be, the Beeb, at everyone's behest, is trying to spend less on programmes and staff. Adding a show in to the daytime schedule would inevitably run counter to this aim, as well as being unnecessary (to put it mildly). _________________ Ron |

Mark-I see that you recycled this idea from a thread on Digital Spy.
In the current climate I can't see an additional show being brought to the daytime schedules. |

A while ago I suggested a gentle early afternoon one-hour show of light music/50s/David Jacobs-style items but the idea didn't find much favour here.

It's a good bringing ideas to this board. Even through some have come from different sources. |
