I don't think the board room and Ashley are saying they wouldn't appoint Alan, but they are saying he's not the experience behind the scenes to promote them. The fans would want Alan with open arms, but he's Newcastle legend and if for some reason he fouls up then the fans could turn against the Geordie boy. So in one way they are protecting themselves and Alan. Maybe Alan could help and may have to be a assistant coach or just give up trying to be the manager at Newcastle? I think Alan should think about being an future England Manager? |
