Did anyone else watch James Taylor on BBC Four last Sunday night (04/05/0? I thought his performances were great although my housemate complained that James was out of tune.
I don't think he was. I also enjoyed his humour! |

Dean,
A late reply maybe, but I did see both concerts. The more recent one, recorded live in the Berkshires, showed just how effortless his singing style remains. "Sweet Baby James" has to be one of the simplest songs ever, but carries such power.
I have fond memories of "Carolina in my mind" being sung by a folk group to a huge open-air audience in Princes Street, Edinburgh on the night before the opening ceremony for the 1970 Commonwealth games. I forget the name of the group (I even forget what I was doing there), but it was an unknown song then and the crowd loved it. _________________ Standing on Ray Moore's shoulders |

James' audience appreciated his performances. He also cracked a few jokes and gags between the songs. The whole experience was awesome - I am saddened I wasn't present! |
