Today's show agenda is as follows:
Cannabis: Should this be re-classified as a class B drug?
Model Behaviour: About a listener who was appalled to read an advert in a job centre for a webcam porn model.
Flooding: If it's too expensive to keep the sea out, some say we should do the unthinkable and allow it to flood parts of Norfolk.
Go Golfing: A judge has agreed to lift a curfew on a man who drunkenly assaulted a police officer so that he can take a golfing holiday in Portugal. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Shan't be able to listen to much of this, but I'll just stick my twopennyworth in -
Cannabis - By all means reclassify it in the stronger category, so long as the resources are available to enforce it and punish offenders. Rumblings by various police spokesmen indicate they aren't (there's a surprise!), so they won't be doing much proactive work on it. I heard JV say that statistics indicate that cannabis usage (presumably he means recorded police cases) has actually reduced since the drug was downgraded to C, so what's the worry, other than currently popular strains are stronger and that it inevitably leads to use of harder drugs. (I've never taken anything, so I really know absolutely nothing).
Model Behaviour - Unusual. Light relief. Not illegal, apparently.
Flooding - OK, but where do you draw the line? I believe that most of East Anglia and the Fens up to Peterborough lie at or even below sea level.
Go Golfing - Someone needs to have a word in the ear of Portuguese Police, Customs & Immigration. In their current mood and climate I'm sure they'll make him welcome. _________________ Ron |
