I really like Liza Tarbuck but this christmas week show seems lifeless. She sounds forced, contrived and self-conscious and not at ease at all. Even the telephone interludes do little to liven things up - she doesn't sound relaxed enough to develop a rapport.
I think she's a really funny girl, but gives her best performance when she's sparking off someone else.
To be fair, even SW doesn't attempt to tackle this slot without a posse of support, so I think it's a bit unfair that she hasn't got someone else with her to give the show some contrast. |

Agreed Minx. She should stick to TV, don't think she has a future in radio.
However, I think it would take more than a few talentless sycophantic wannabees to improve the show. This is proof that simply being a media "name" is no guarantee of a mutiplicity of talents.
Switched over to local radio (Pembrokeshire, rather good actually) after half an hour; the bit I listened to was very tedious, no spontaneity at all. |

I'm not sure why she wants to be a daytime radio presenter. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I find her lacking when presenting on her own, the show was very disappointing, IMHO. However, I think that when she co-hosted the show with Radders, they, and the show, were excellent.

I thought she was verging on Sarah Kennedy/Mo Dutta territory at times - waffling on about things personal to herself. _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.

She will go a long way then. Dont all Radio 2 presenters talk about themselves or their likes & dislikes to some extent? _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |
