Back in 2005 I downloaded the album The Madness by The Madness - totally legitimately BTW! When I changed my PC about 3 years ago I transferred a lot of stuff over via a USB stick including the album and I have it sitting on the computer but unfortunately am unable to play it as it is a protected WMA file. Is there any way I can get around this?

The website I bought it from no longer exists and though I did burn a copy onto a blank CD I can't find the disc. I can't even buy it again as it seems to have been removed from all the legal download sites.

If you stick "Convert DRM Protected WMA Files" into Google you'll find lots of suggestions.
