Finally got around to watching this recently (as it was shown on TV), and must say, i was completely underwhelmed....
Director was too fond of shots of the back of Portman's head, but most of all, I found myself completely indifferent to the fate of the single-dimensional and (deliberately) obsessive main character, which makes any film a struggle.
I suppose I just don't care much about someone who is either asleep, and dreaming about ballet, or is awake, and worrying about ballet. |
