Caught a snippet of CE the other morning where he played the Manics cover of the fabulous "This Is The Day", originally by The The in the early 80's.
And then he talked over practically half of it - about himself I think - but I really can't be bothered to Listen Again to find out.
And he talks all over the Gobsmackers (didn't Garry Davies "invent" this phrase?) which begs me to ask if you have two all time favourite songs and you've requested them to be played on national radio why would you want your host to talk and insert soundbites of his son all over them??
Oh well, I downloaded the Manics from iTunes so at least I can listen uninterrupted. 99p well spent! |

You had me worried there for a while Angus
I really couldn't believe that the lads had lowered their standards so much as to appear on what is supposed to pass for the Radio 2 breakfast show
The greatest rock band in the world today on with CE - now that is a frightening thought _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Hell no - only if you're a masochist!

It's called an "edgy" style of broadcasting. Apparently. The guy's a total prat, but we know that. |

Nicky Wire appeared on Radcliffe & Maconie's 6 Music show this week and 'This Is The Day' was played minus interruptions. _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!
