According to "Campaign" magazine (read by advertising, marketing and PR people) ITV Plc cleared almost £25 million in advertising and sponsorship over the weekend of the X-Factor finals, with EACH 30-second advertising spot in the finals selling for an average of £250,000. Yes, you read that correctly - each.
Spots in the live version of Coronation Street were reportedly selling for £100,000 each, with ad agency bidding taking place right up to within a few minutes of transmission.
Somebody's watching - and somebody needs to reach those viewers!!! |

it's a real turn around to where ITV were a few years ago where their viewing figures were taking a tumble.
It's just a shame that they only seem to have three shows Corrie, X factory and BGT. Saying that they don't have to worry about it too much if the mioney is coming in. On the odd occasion I have seen the X show I couldn't believe how frequent the ad breaks were, one song then break _________________ You will hear gospel and rhythm and blues and jazz, all those are just labels, we know that music is music. |

It got to me when that DFS ad with the Saturdays' 'Just Can't Get Enough' on kept coming up on the breaks during Coronation Street!
I think buying sofas were the last things on the characters' minds! Unless the Trafford Centre had a sale on which led to the crash. _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!
