'Love Story' at the Duchess Theatre is a lovely piece of theatre. I saw it in Chichester in the summer and have tickets to see it again in the new year. It's more of a play with music, than an all singing all dancing musical. I'd advise taking a supply of tissues if you happen to be going as it's a bit of a weepie and Knowing the film beforehand didn't spoil it.
Lead roles are played by Emma Williams as Jenny Cavilleri and Michael Xavier as Oliver Barrett. Peter Polycarpou plays Jenny's father. _________________ Put some records on while I pour |

I saw Love Story in Chichester too! I must be the only person in the world not to have ever seen the film or read the book.
Emma Williams and Michael Xavier were very impressive. I also saw him in Oklahoma a few months previously. |

Love Story finishes it's run on Feb 26th. If you are thinking of going and haven't yet. I can recommend it...it's an amazing piece of musical theatre. So glad the OLC recording was made.
Emma and Michael both up for Oliviers, as is the show (Michael is the only person nominated twice this year). _________________ Put some records on while I pour |
