Last night I dreamed about someone whom I knew but slightly when I lived in Kent in the early 1970s.
In the dream we talked a bit about the old days and I asked about his family.
Given that I've never thought about this person for years, why on earth should I dream about him after so long?
Who else has had a similar experience?

Was there anything that could have triggered this? I often dream about people from when I lived in Kent, but its usually after something has reminded me. It doesn't have to be much, sometimes just a piece of music or a story on the radio/television for instance. The person you have been reminded of might even turn up somewhere, that happens to me! _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

It's a strange one Ian. I don't often remember dreams, my missus gets up before me, so when I wake up proper I tend to jump out of bed quickly and that seems to aid the forgetting of dreams.
But yes I recall dreaming of long lost friends, e.g. someone from school - and of course they won't look like that today
The weirdest thing about dreams is like when someone tells a joke, I can't remember the joke now but I recall in a dream someone telling me a joke, which I hadn't heard before and I laughed myself awake. But thinkabout it, I hadn't heard the joke but it was in MY dream so my mind created it, so that means my subconscious mind can create something that my 'main' mind doesn't know....
