For afficianados of 1920s - 1940s music I have come across this website
http://www.pastperfect.com/help/about/index.aspx
selling under their own label remastered recordings of music from those decades, both on CD and as downloads.
They even sell an ipod Nano pre-loaded with 1,075 tracks from 290 artists for £280 (26p per track) which might attract anyone who doesn't already have a collection and/or who doesn't want the bother of digitising and uploading themselves. _________________ Ron |

I have several of their CDs, bit expensive but the quality of re-mastering the audio is superb. For a while they sent me some free CDs for which I wrote some reviews, always positive as I could not fault the quality, and their choice of tracks is good on the 1920s/30s music.
There's a good mix of 1930s bands and film hit music on their Age Of Style CD:

Fred Astaire, Jessie Matthews, Al Bowlly, Carroll Gibbons all songs you might know but maybe not the artistes you normally hear singing them.
The iPod idea is brilliant! But I'd never use it .
