Today's Telegraph reports on the availability of a Calendar of Political Correctness, featuring 12 examples from 2007.
Two examples:
Officials in Blackpool were deployed to ensure that donkeys working on the beach had a full hour off for lunch, to comply with EU rules.
Staff at Greater Glasgow and Lothian Health Trusts were ordered not to eat at their desks during Ramadan, in case this offended Muslims who were fasting at the time.

What during Ramadan Santa? Whilst working in Saudi Arabia we non-Muslims were not allowed to take sandwiches or food and drink of any kind to work , this was accepted as it was their country. Why oh why do we have to pander to them here, "when in Rome, do as the Romans do", seems to cover it well enough!
