Very pleased to be here. I'm Andy, 46, lapsed R2 listener since about 1974(?). I'm a musician and coach (72 seats, spitting prohibited, orange peel in the vestibules)My first regular listen was the late great Ray Moore who made me fall about and (with Pam Cox in particular)educated me musically and life lessons-y a lot. Radio's a different beast these days, but the community that believes in it are the sort of people I really like to spend time with. So I'm looking forward to propping up the bar here. |

Welcome, Andy, from the last wall, We're a reasonably friendly lot. _________________ Geddon

Andy, hello from another Andy - I get what you're saying about the radio community. Some days when I don't listen to R2 (Hey, stop throwing things!!!) I still like to read what others are saying.
You'll find a lot of fun here and a lot of madness but also a lot of friendship (anyone got a tissue?)
Make mine a whiskey and dry ginger. _________________ Some say he once threw a microwave oven at a tramp and that all his potted plants are called 'Steve'.....all we know is, he's called 'The Stig!'. |

Hi Andy,
Great to have you here and looking forward to reading your posts.
My family roots (maternal great-grandparents) are from your part of the world (St.Johns), and I lived in The Old Kent Road area from 1984-'89.
Have you ever heard "Hilly Fields" by Nick Nicely? _________________ . . . From The Asteroid Belt, Peter de Meteor |
