Two things got on my threepenny bits:
One being that when Amanda Redmond asked for some Curved Air, he said R2 hadn't played any of their music in the past 12 years. Steve Harley has played 'Stretch' and 'It Happened Today' on Sounds Of The 70's, and Stuart Maconie has interviewed Sonja Kristina on 6 Music's The Freak Zone!
The other thing was his insensitive comment about 'Billy Elliot', saying that the hero should have just gone to London if he found it hard in the north-East in the 80's. As a native of West Yorkshire, I found this had a touch of the Norman Tebbits about it and Andy Davies should have played Pink Floyd's 'Bike' after (as in 'I've got a bike, you can ride it if you like...') _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.

Pickle, do yourself a favour and follow my example: I never listen to JR as I don't like him and I know he will offend me or wind me up. The same, with more vehemence, goes for Brand and Evans. _________________ MiS |

Mark Radcliffe also played Curved Air on his night time show at least once. When did he start on R2, 2003 or was it 2004? _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

I think Mark Radcliffe started around 2003 on R2. I know he played 'Jumbo' on Out On Blue Six on R1.
I don't normally listen to Jonathan Ross - the temporary manageress of the shop I help in had it on! The only other alternative is some of the poor local stations. _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.

I would have thought silence would be a far preferable alternative to old big mouth! _________________ MiS |
