Cripes it seems so much longer but at least we had at least half a dozen listenable weeks in that time. Maybe he'll discover nine more things to fall off next year. |

How to sum up the past year in 5 words:

Ernie-I can take or leave Chris Evans-I have no strong views on him one way or the other.
However I have to say you have my respect because of your unstinting loyality for the man-you post lots of positive messages about Chris as clearly you really like him.
I myself hold Richard Allinson in the same high regard as you do Chris Evans and despite those folk posting anti Chris mesages I think it is very admirable that you stick by your beliefs-good man.
I hope you have a good day tomorrow celebrating the 1 year birthday of the Chris Evans show. |

I shall celebrate the 18th April 2007 the same way as 18th April 2006. 5live or mp3. Another listener lost until the controller sees sense. _________________ Geddon

Thanks Ernie-terrific news for me and RA fans everywhere that he is back on Radio 2 covering for Steve Wright from 30-4.
I hope this is for the whole week.
I hopefully can spend lots of time "working from home" during this particular week.
I'm already counting the days down now-you have made my day with this news. |

Is it a whole year since I stopped listening to R2 at 5pm?
Doesn't time fly when you're enjoying yourself
I'll continue to do what I have done for the past few months - listen again to RA on BFBS.
Is RA covering the whole week of the 30th, do we know? How will I fit in the time to listen to all of him

At the end of his birthday show this evening Chris thanked everyone for their support over the past year and said he had a piece of paper which said that he would be continuing for another 2 years. _________________ Over the hill they came....the greatest Army in the World.....The Tartan Army |

At least that means he won't be taking over breakfast for 2 years, maybe by then they will have found a proper presenter to replace Terence. |

Two years on drivetime......... or two years at the station (in which case he could still take the Breakfast chair)? Hopefully not.
Mrs. Honeybun agrees with me.

Of course Chamberlain brought a piece of paper back from Munich as well.

Well if they're all over here, then it couldn't be inflicting him on them; must be all those Brits over there and could force em back!

Personally I am surprised that evans has lasted a year on the station, cos some of the people at work listen to it and I think he sounds worse now than he did to begin with, and he sounded naff then. I suppose some people will listen to any old rubbish cos they are to lazy to turn the radio over. |
